Dilled Peas & Walnuts Recipe - South Beach Diet Recipe (Phase 1)



  • 1 10 oz pkt frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 T low fat butter
  • 1 1/2 t fresh dill or 1/2 t dried dill
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/4 t black pepper
  • 3 T broken walnuts or slivered almonds, toasted


  • Cook frozen peas and onion according to package directions. Drain and return to saucepan.
  • Stir in butter, dill, salt and pepper; heat through. Sprinkle with walnuts.

Nutrition facts: 127 calories; 7 g total fat; 180 mg sodium; 12 g carb; 4 g fiber; 5 g protein
